The 2007 ARIA Fine Arts Awards were held on on Monday, 15th October at the magnificent Verbrugghen Hall, located within the Sydney Conservatorium of Music . The event was also broadcast live on ABC Classic FM.

Located on the edge of Sydney Harbour within the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Sydney Conservatorium of Music opened to students on 6 March 1916. The building had recently been adapted from it's original use as stables for NSW Government House.

The magnificent Verbrugghen Hall, named for the Con's first director, Belgian conductor and violinist Henri Verbrugghen, is a world-class concert hall seating 500 over two levels. Recently restored in accordance with heritage guidelines, the venue accommodates a full symphony orchestra, Pogson organ, choir gallery, and has superb acoustic qualities.
