For the first time, the ARIA Awards Nominations Event was held at the new Sydney Theatre, located in the historic Walsh Bay precinct near Circular Quay, Sydney, on Wednesday, 19 September 2007.

The Sydney Theatre is a state-of-the-art performance space designed by renowned architects PTW Architects, who integrated the heritage elements of the historic bond stores into an evocative and stylish venue.

Invited guests from the music industry and media gathered mid-morning for the Nominations announcement, followed by morning tea. Assembled media then conducted interviews with the nominated artists.
