Acer Arena is Sydney's perfect concert venue and is recognised on the world stage as being one of the most innovative and exciting venues to host music events. Acer Arena was completed in August 1999 and is the largest multi-purpose indoor arena in Australia. It is located in the centre of Sydney at Sydney Olympic Park.
Acer Arena can seat 1,200 to 7,000 in theatre mode, and up to 21,000 in arena mode. The venue is fully-roofed and column-free and provides uninterrupted views from every seat.
In 2005, Acer Arena was recognised by the US-based music industry bible, Billboard magazine, as the second highest revenue grossing venue in the world (after New York's Madison Square Garden). No other Australian indoor concert venue made it into the global Top 100.
Artists that have performed at Acer Arena in recent times include Justin Timberlake, Bon Jovi and Iron Maiden, just to drop a few names. 2008 will see Acer Arena host visits from Foo Fighters, Celine Dion, Santana, Brooks & Dunn, Maroon 5 and a stack more - even High School Musical!
Acer Arena is recognised for its easy access for the majority of Sydneysiders and regional NSW. It has quickly become THE Australian concert venue... no contest! |
