When Yothu Yindi are inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame on Thursday 29th November, it will be with great support from Virgin Australia who are honoured to assist in making this unique music moment happen.

The airline is also playing a lead role in the promotion of contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent through its ongoing Home project partnership with the Queensland Music Network.

Over the past four years Virgin Australia has assisted in the production of an annual compilation of Indigenous artists, and this year supported the launch of the www.homeartists.com.au website - the first online destination of its type that promotes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music to the world.

Virgin Australia Group Executive of People Richard Tanner said supporting Home had become an important initiative for the airline.

"Not only do we see it as playing a major role in promoting contemporary Indigenous talent, supporting this project adds to our commitment to developing our Aboriginal Employment Strategy and implementing cultural awareness strategies within Virgin Australia," Mr Tanner said.
