ARIA is excited to announce that the 2019 ARIA Week will be presented by Mitsubishi ASX, helping to support the Aussie music industry and bring fans more incredible experiences across the program. Also supported by the NSW Government, ARIA Week will once again see Sydney abuzz with the very best artists and groundbreaking music industry conferences, showcasing the wealth of talent and opportunity the Australian music scene has to offer.

ARIA is thrilled to confirm the 2019 ARIA Masterclass, with very special guest Tuma Basa, the Director of Urban Music, YouTube Music. Hip hop is the fastest growing genre on the planet, and Tuma Basa will discuss his work with hip hop artists around the world and what it takes to be successful in the global streaming era. More exciting speakers are still to be announced.

Nova’s Red Room performances throughout ARIA Week Presented by Mitsubishi ASX will celebrate the Australian music industry in the count down to the 2019 ARIA Awards. This year some of the country’s biggest artists including Birds of Tokyo, Dean Lewis, Guy Sebastian, Illy, PNAU and Tones and I will perform for their fans in a series of Nova’s Red Room shows on the ARIA Week calendar.

This year’s ARIA Week will see two rock legends meet again in a very special edition of Liquid Lunch Live, presented by ARIA and Double J. Noel Gallagher and Tim Rogers first toured together in 1998, when You Am I supported Oasis on shows in Australia, Hong Kong and Japan. 21 years later, the two friends will sit down in an exclusive conversation, to take place on Friday 22nd November. For more information on how to score tickets, keep an eye on Double J’s website.

ARIA Chief Executive, Dan Rosen said, “ARIA Week is a brilliant way to extend the celebration of Australian music across  November in the lead up to the ARIA Awards. We have an incredible line up of Australian talent, from ARIA Hall Of Fame winners to up-and-comers, across inner-city Sydney to Byron Bay. I am very excited to see the events across a diversity of genres, from hip-hop to country, showcasing our artists across a wide range of the ARIA Award categories.

This year, we also have an incredible line up of industry panels. As the Director of Urban Music, YouTube Music, Tuma Basa is at the forefront of what is happening in the fastest growing genre on the planet. I also cannot wait to see the legendary Noel Gallagher sit down with the legendary Tim Rogers to discuss their shared past and the future of rock and roll."

Derek McIlroy, Mitsubishi Motors Deputy Director, Marketing and Operations said, “We’re excited and proud to support the great number of talented and distinctive Australian artists from all over Australia, through our Mitsubishi ASX sponsorship of the ARIAs.  Music is individual, a passion – and so is the car you drive. From now until ARIA Week you’ll see the new model – complete with our new premium sound system –  on Sydney’s streets.”

The ARIA Awards is the flagship event of the Australian music calendar, and the coinciding ARIA Week is certainly no exception. It is a provoking and significant celebration of local music that presents the best and brightest of the  Australian music industry throughout the venues of Sydney and NSW.

Sydney venues can become an official part of the ARIA Week presented by Mitsubishi ASX program by registering their shows on the ARIA Week website - www.ariaawards.com.au/aria-week/register-gig. Registered shows will be added to the list of official gigs on the ARIA Week website.

THURSDAY 14th NOVEMBER - THE REUNION: YOUNG STARS OF COUNTRY… 20 YEARS ON 2019 TOUR @ PENRITH PANTHERS

Individually, Adam Harvey, Beccy Cole, Darren Coggan and Felicity Urquhart are four of the most recognisable country music artists in the Australian entertainment world. The Golden Guitars, Gold certified records, chart topping albums and countless number one singles between them barely scratch the surface of their combined achievements.

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of these four talented and highly decorated artists forming a tour called The Young Stars Of Country. The tour’s name was the brainchild of the booking agent they shared at the time. These young and feisty newcomers fought to have their own names splashed across the light-boxes and chalkboards of the venues they played for fear of not being remembered… Adam, Beccy, Darren and Felicity were not to know that this was the beginning of a musical bond and personal friendship that was to last for two decades.

You can expect some very special moments in this show. When four artists come together after 20 years of love and respect for each other, the audience is in for a once in a lifetime treat.

Australian Halloween’ was written in an abandoned laundromat in Huddersfield, a post-industrial town in the north of England. Having relocated to the UK with his young family, chief songwriter and singer/guitarist Toby Martin rented the space expecting to write a very English solo record. Instead what came out was a body of work that not only felt distinctly like a Youth Group album, but was largely concerned with Australia and missing home.
