Sydney, get ready to roar! KATY PERRY confirmed as a special guest presenter at the2014 ARIA Awards Connected By Telstra
International superstar, Katy Perry, is confirmed to appear at the 2014 ARIA Awards Connected By Telstra as a special guest presenter. Tickets to the ARIAS have sold out, but fans can venture to The Star, Sydney to see their favourite stars walk the David Jones Red Carpet from 2.00pm – 4.00pm and watch the show on TEN from 7.30pm on November 26.
Katy Perry said: "I'm honored to be acknowledged in the International category, especially during my residency here in Australia on the Prismatic World Tour. I'm looking forward to spending the evening getting to know Australia's finest musicians."
Katy Perry has just kicked off the Australian leg of her PRISMATIC WORLD TOUR in Perth to rave reviews with news.com.au declaring it “one of the most kaleidoscopic, lavish and just plain fun shows doing the global rounds…The Prismatic show is slickly choreographed, cleverly costumed and fast paced with an enviable setlist of hits…” and she will be playing a staggering 23 shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The 23 date Prismatic tour is in support of Katy’s smash hit album ‘Prism’ which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Charts and has since been certified 4x Platinum. The album has now exceeded ‘Teenage Dream’ sales and given Katy her biggest ever single in Australia with ‘Roar’ certified 10 x Platinum. It also features the hit‘Dark Horse’ which has achieved in excess of 4 x platinum sales. Her latest single ‘This Is How We Do’ is another Platinum hit and the video has amassed over 123 million views since release.
'Prism' shot to #1 on iTunes in 90 markets around the world upon release and debuted #1 in Australia, America, France, UK, Mexico, Russia, Italy and Ireland to name just a few.
Katy Perry is nominated in the public-voted category for Best International Artist. There are less than two weeks to show your support for the public voted categories (Song Of The Year, Best Australian Live Act, Best Video Public and Best International Artist) at ariaawards.com.au/public-voting . Voting closes Wednesday, November 19 at 11.59pm (AEDT).
